Baking instructions

To Eat or to Bake? That is the question!

Personally, our #Fav way to eat our Smart Kookie Dough is right out of the jar!

It’s hard to beat that melt in your mouth satisfaction our edible dough delivers.

But if you wish to bake your morsels of delish dough into Kookies then follow the steps below:

*Before you start, always bring your Smart Kookie doughs to room temperature before baking.

DO NOT BAKE your Keto Smart Dough and your Organic Smart Dough at the same time. They will have different cooking times.

Keto Smart Kookie Dough:

Baking with alternative flours is vastly different than traditional baking. In addition, your Keto Kookie dough is also sugar-free, and now all the traditional baking rules are out the window!

If you aren’t used to alternative baking then please follow the steps carefully.

 1) Preheat oven on "bake" to 350 degrees.

*Do not use convection bake as it has a tendency to burn the outside of the cookies before the middle bakes. Your Kookies will also be a completely different consistency when baked with convection.

2) Line a baking sheet with parchment and separate your dough into desired size of Kookies.

You can divide dough and roll into balls, but after placing them on baking sheet, give them a press down to pre-flatten them, so they look more like discs.

Once your oven reaches temperature, place your baking sheet on the middle rack.

3) Bake for approx. 15-18 min, or when cookies start to brown at edges. (This will depend on your oven and size of kookies)

4) Let sit and cool on baking tray for about 30 minutes.

*Important! — Do not attempt to remove your keto Kookies from the tray until they set for at least 30 minutes!

Keto Kookies need the extra setting time that a traditional cookie does not need. Once the Kookies are no longer soft, and have hardened, they are ready to eat! (If your Keto Kookies feel soft or “spongy” to the touch, please allow them longer cooling time)

Organic Smart Kookie Dough:

1) Preheat oven on "bake" to 350 degrees.

2) Line a baking sheet with parchment and separate your dough into desired size of Kookies.

(Our best tip is not to pack the dough into a ball, but rather create more of a “dollop” of dough.

Once your oven reaches temperature, place your baking sheet on the middle rack.

3) Bake for approx. 10-12 min, or when cookies start to turn lightly golden at the edges. (This will depend on your oven and size of kookies)

The entire cookie does not need to be browned, please do not over bake.

* For gooey cookies, underbake by a couple minutes. It’s perfectly “underbaked” when the edges look dry but the top still looks a little moist.

 4) Let cool and enjoy!

Note: convection ovens also lead to cakier cookies overall!

*Please remember we cannot guarantee any baking results as it will greatly vary depending on different factors such as climate, altitude, ovens, cooking times, cookie size and overall baking skills.
